Community EngagementOne of the Kirk’s primary objectives is to communicate and demonstrate the love of Christ to those in our community who do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that sharing the gospel of Christ to those who are in need of God’s forgiveness, salvation, eternal life, and protection is a premier responsibility of the church. The Community Engagement Ministry Team is especially focused and dedicated to this activity. We have several ways in which we try to faithfully serve God in this area. Evangelism Training: Throughout the year, the Community Engagement Team conducts evangelism training classes to equip our members to more effectively share their faith in Christ. We encourage our church members to proactively share the gospel with those God has directly and regularly placed in our lives, while demonstrating the reality of that gospel in our own lives, through serving others. In addition, we believe it is our privileged responsibility to reach outside of our immediate contexts and pursue anyone within the St. Louis area, and certainly beyond, with the truth of God.
Church Visitor and New Member Activities: The Community Engagement Team is devoted to the love, care, and pursuit of our church guests and visitors. We desire to help our non-members become most acquainted with the Kirk and to lead and assist them into church membership, if and when God calls a person or family to join our church.
